Courage In Of Mice and Men

They have been many chapters in the book where courage has been shown. George travelling with Lennie through out their journey and accompanying him took a tremendous amount of courage, especially when you have responsibility  to look after someone else. When George had killed Lennie that was the most courage required. Killing his best friend took a huge amount of courage as he did what was best for him. George did not want to kill Lennie at all. If Lennie did get caught he would be locked up in a Mental home and would have to suffer the torments of the people there. As George held the gun on Lennie’s head there were descriptions saying he was trembling, but he pulled the trigger and there was no going back. George did what he had to do. After George had killed it says that he was numb from disbelief. I think it was very courageous of George to do what would benefit Lennie.

Courage

Courage

How would you define courage? Courage is having confidence in yourself especially when no one seems to agree with you. The moments when you are trying to get back up onto your feet after you have been knocked down by a challenge or a setback define if you have courage. The ability to enjoy everything you do under pressure. Courage is being able to make good decisions that will benefit your goals even if it means having to go through tough times. Having no fear at all no matter what happens to you, not just going and putting your life at risk. Courage is waking up every morning with excitement and enthusiasm to accomplish something in your life. Courage is consuming the strength to achieve something that you thought would never happen. Courage is being able to accept your mistakes and turn negative remarks into positive ones. “Courage is grace under pressure” (Ernest Hemingway).

Romeo And Juliet

Romeo And Juliet: Most Important Scene Act 2 Scene 2capulet orchard

I think that the most important scene in Romeo and Juliet is the when Romeo goes to the Capulet’s orchard because this is where Romeo and Juliet first establish their love for each other. Both Romeo and Juliet had problems before meeting each other at the orchard. Romeo had loved Rosaline before he had saw Juliet, Juliet was forced to love Paris but she did not even like him at all. Juliet was also forced by here mother to marry someone, only that Juliet did not want to marry anyone at all. Once Romeo and Juliet both saw each other at the ball the had connected instantly. Romeo forgot about Rosaline and Juliet forgot about Paris. When Romeo meets Juliet in the orchard they both express their love for each other. Their love could become a peace between the Montague’s and Capulet’s families.  This is why I think that this is the most important part of Romeo and Juliet because now together they have the power as the children to stop the rivalry between two families.

Love

Love

What is Love? Love is anything that you like and would do almost anything for it. When people love something they sacrifice and put all their effort into making it special for them. I love tennis, and I play almost everyday for the love of the sport. Love could also mean caring for one another, like a mother and her child or a man and his dog. I think this is what love means.
